Marc Joseph Danna passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 25th, 2023 at home with his loved ones by his side at the age of 62. Born on February 7th, 1961 in New Orleans Louisiana. He was a lifelong resident of the Lakeview area.
Survived by his loving wife of 35 years Diana H. Danna and four sons Jeremy R. Henderson, Joshua R. Henderson (Katherine), Jesse R. Danna (Lauren), and Zachary J. Danna. Five grandchildren Isabella R. Henderson, Sophia R. Henderson, Eli G. Davis, Harper R. Henderson, and Joshua R. Henderson Jr. Along with his sister Lisa Salvaggio Cooper (Don) and brother (Jeff) Jean E. Freiwald. Also, a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph F. Danna, Joy Farinola Danna and his dad who raised him S. Joseph Salvaggio.
Marc attended New Orleans Academy and then First Assembly Academy where he played high school football. A Health and Life insurance Broker for over 38 years working with Mutual of Omaha, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of LA, and Humana. A member of the Lower 40 Hunting Club in Meridian MS, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to sing and play his guitar as well as write his own songs. His passion for his family and friends showed through the love in his cooking for others. Boiling crawfish, smoking meats, to his famous fried fish, his food was enjoyed by many. The love for his Lord and Savior guided him to attend churches and organizations such as First Assembly of God, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Victory Fellowship Church, and Fellowship of the Sword.
Pall Bearers will consist of Jean E. Freiwald, Jeremy R. Henderson, Joshua R. Henderson, Jesse R. Danna, Zachary J. Danna, and Marcus A. Carlisle.
Marc was a loving, respectful, and outgoing man who always shared the light of his love to all.
A visitation for Marc will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
