Margaret Weigand

Margaret Simoneaux Weigand, age 82, died peacefully at home with family by her side on June 8, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn L. Weigand of Covington, her sisters Dolores Duplantis and Mercedes Dobard of Morgan City, and her loving caretaker, Judy A. Montz of Covington. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Edward Weigand, her parents Eddie Joseph and Lelia Templet Simoneaux of Morgan City, and her brother Harry Simoneaux of Galiano. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews. Margaret was a native of Morgan City and resided New Orleans, Metairie, and Covington. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 am. Visitation from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family is thankful to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Community in Covington for their prayers and support and to St. Joseph Hospice. Masses are preferred in lieu of flowers.
