Marille Joseph Faucheux Jr.

He was a native of Algiers and a resident of Belle Chasse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Borne Faucheux Haden and Marille Faucheux, Sr. and two sisters-in-law, Nancy Rhode and Colleen Rhode. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Rhode Faucheux; a sister, Darleen Faucheux Haden; three brothers-in-law, Raymond Rhode, Richard Rhode and Keith Rhode (Cindy) and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Desselle (John). He was also a proud uncle to a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by numerous family members by choice and lifelong friends - and you all know who you are. He was known as "Uncle Marille" to many and "Mr. Marille" to so many more.

He retired from Atmos Energy with 38 years of service. After retirement from Atmos, he worked for Jefferson Parish and enjoyed a number of years driving buses for their Senior Centers. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Gretna.

He loved fishing, woodworking and his weekly golf cart rides through the neighborhood. He was known for his willingness to help others. He never met a project too big or too small.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 Sixth St. in Gretna, LA 70053. Please specify that your gift is in memory of Marille and for the parish's restoration fund.
