Marilyn Ann Ryan Rutecki

Marilyn Ann Ryan Rutecki, age 77, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 12:05 PM. She was born in New Orleans and resided in Metairie and Jefferson for the past 46 years. Daughter of the late John Edward Ryan and Mary Virgil Ward Ryan. Mother of Kenneth J. Rutecki (Melanie); grandmother of Andrew J. Rutecki and Molly E. Rutecki. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley M. Ryan and Susan R. Shambra (Nicholas).

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzles, game shows and country music. Marilyn retired from the Jefferson Parish School System.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Carrollton Cemetery no. 2 (St. Mary’s Cemetery) in New Orleans.

Due to the rise in COVID cases, the family is requesting that masks be worn.
