Mario had many accomplishments in his life. He was an immigrant and worked at Pellerin Milnor for almost 40 years. However, with those happy moments there were also sad ones such as laying his mother to rest in his native home of Honduras and losing his wife of over 20 years. Though these moments were important, there was so much more to Mario. His laugh was contagious, he was thoughtful, he cared about what others needed, and he was ready to lend a helping hand. When he walked into a room, you could feel his presence. He loved to fish, and always made the fishing trips memorable (even if nothing was caught). Mario was blessed to find love again after the passing of his first wife and was remarried. His love for his grandchildren was unmeasurable and he would fly to the moon and back for them if he could. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Even though he is not here physically with us, he will always live near and dear in our hearts. This is not goodbye; we will one day see that jovial smile again.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA 70056.
