

Marjorie Norman Kalb, “Margie,” age 93, was born and raised in Marksville, Louisiana but had lived in Metairie, Louisiana for most of her adult life, died peacefully on Sunday morning, April 2, 2017 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mrs. Kalb was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Orval Monroe Kalb, Sr., her parents, Matilda and Arthur Norman, her sister Gertrude Norman Dupuy, and the late Debra Dupuy. She is survived by her two children, Faye B. Michel and Larry J. Bordelon, and niece, Daphine Bernard. She leaves 4 grandchildren: Renee M. Aldridge, Lauri B. Guillot, Cynthia M. Dennis, Ralph J. Michel, Jr., and 8 great-grandchildren: Alyse Aldridge, Leah Aldridge, Jonathan Guillot, Jeremy Guillot, Jacques Dennis, Jean Paul Dennis, Jeanee’ Dennis, and J’Aime Dennis. Mrs. Kalb was retired from Goodyear Tire Company. Her hobbies included playing cards, going to the casino, listening to Orval play his harmonica, dancing, and meeting with their VFW Hall friends. She liked French/Cajun music, going to the movies, and having a small ice cream cone. She will be greatly missed and loved by all her family members. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Thursday afternoon, April 6 2017 at 1:00.
