Marvelle Lawler Dauterive

Marvelle Lawler Dauterive passed away peacefully at the age of 80, in her home early Mother’s Day morning, May 9th, 2021 with family at her side. She was born December 6th, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Dauterive Jr., her mother, Musetta Rita Lawler, her father, Thomas Benjamin Lawler, her brother, William (DeDe) Lawler, her sister, Rita Mae Lawler Mack, and her nieces and nephew, Heidi, Rose, and Seneca. She is survived by Robert Dauterive, her loving husband of 58 years, her two sisters, Debra Brown (Greg), Marie Turley, her three brothers, Rick Lawler (Laura), Tommy Lawler (Sandy), and Mike (Donna), her two loving grandchildren, Veronica and Zachary Lawler, her nieces and nephews, Jessica Brown (Robin), Rebecca Strain (Tim), Gregory Brown, Mike Lawler (Melissa), Pam Salazar (Lupe), Chris Mack (Kori), Patricia Fishpaw (Don), Patrick (Lisa), Melvin McGuire, Donna Mack (Greg), Billy Lawler (Michele), Stephanie Lawler, Salvador Lawler, Nicole Portway (Stephan), Michael Barattini (Denise), Melissa Lawler, Maureen Vitello (Peter), Tompey Lawler (Erin), Jude Bordelon, David Bordelon, and her many great nieces and nephews.

Marvelle dedicated her life to God and her family. She loved spending time with her family, going to church on Sundays and saying her daily prayers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm with a Funeral Mass at 7:00pm at the Leitz Eagan Chapel.
