Mary Carol Eck

Born on July 27, 1930, Mary Carol Eck passed away May 19, 2021. She loved flowers, Mardi Gras, family time in Mississippi, genealogy, travel, writing poems, solving puzzles, scrap booking, fine dining, and the theater, but most of all Mary loved her family. Mary (affectionally known to some as Mare) is survived by her loving sister, Harolyn Ramsey, her nieces and nephews, Hope O’Hara, Robert Ramsey, Mark Trahant, Lee Vallon, Chris Trahant, Stephen Ramsey, Beth Lacoste, Donna Caillouet and Lori Ramsey, along with many cousins and great nieces and nephews who all brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Eck and Christine Marquez Eck, and sister, Barbara Trahant. Mary retired from Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company after a long career as an underwriter. Relatives and friends are invited to gather in remembrance at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Monday, May 24, 2021. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, 1427 Washington Ave., New Orleans.
