Mary Jane Palmisano, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister died peacefully at the age of 80 in her home in Jefferson, LA surrounded by her loving family. She suffered with renal disease for many years and fought valiantly for the last 3 years on dialysis.

Mary Jane Ransom was born May 10, 1941 in Columbus, GA. She has resided the last 10 years with her daughter Cindy Luke and her son-in-law Mark.

The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She was led by her Christian faith. Always giving her full devotion to her family as she shared her many gifts and talents by sewing, cooking, and gardening. She cherished every visit with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was very grateful for the many great memories that she shared with her family. She had 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Palmisano Jr. and her parents, James Clement Ransom Sr. and Helen Jenny Phifer Ransom.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Cynthia Marie Luke (Mark) of Jefferson, LA, Brenda Louise Palmisano Thompson of Robert, LA, Karen Ann Pages (Nick) of Dover, FL, Sharon Ann Blattner (Michael) of Natchez, MS and a son, Joseph Palmisano III (Angelle) of Robert, LA; her 3 siblings, Anna Louise Murray of Georgetown, TX , Ethel Jessie Ransom Ross of Independence, LA, and James Clement Ransom Jr. of Hammond, LA.

Memorial Service will be held at on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 11:30 AM with a prayer service to follow.
