Mary Guidry Walker

Mary G. Walker passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the age of 79. She passed in the company of those who loved and cared for her, including her husband of 57 years, Frank H. Walker, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann Hafner and her son, Frank Louis Walker (Margaret). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Kristine, Stephen (Alyssa), Christopher, Sydney and Allyson, and by her 3 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Brooklyn and London.

Mary was employed and treasured for 27 years as the Airport Hilton Director of Housekeeping and had previously worked as a teacher at both St. Joan of Arc Elementary in LaPlace, La. and St. Lawrence the Martyr in Kenner, La. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, quilting and canines. She will be remembered, loved and missed by all of her friends, family and dogs.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 pm, where friends may call after 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
