Lisa and Family:
My heart goes out to you all in your time of grief but know that Matthew is in the loving arms of Jesus and will be a constant angel to look over you from now until you meet again.  I pray for your peace and comfort.  Lisa, you have an army of friends so don't hesitate to ask for whatever you may need, whenever you may need it.  We are all here for you.

August 2003 God Blessed me by introducing Matthew in my life. He was 5 years old then and I thought "wow what a cute kid" and I fell in love with him instantly. He was such an amazing person and I wish I could have watch you grow into the young man you became. One thing never change and that is how you respected people and ALWAYS had a positive outlook on everything you came in contact with.  I always thought of you over the years and wondered what you were doing. I actually thought of you during the Christmas holiday because you gave me an ornament for my tree and I still hang it on my tree to this day.  It really meant a lot to me that you gave this to me because you said to me and I'll never forget it "I wanted to give you something that would remind you of me every year." I asked you if drove your mom crazy and you said "no Ms. Charlotte I didn't" and smiled.  I miss your smile and I want to tell you now as you look over my shoulder as I write this you became a very FINE young man. You made your mom proud each day.  She and I had many laughs over the few years you were in my life. Look after your mom and help her through her tough times till you greet her in heaven. You and your mom have a place in my heart.  I love you lots and lots.

I worked after care and lunches at Faith Lutheran when Matthew was a student there.  He was such a loveable little boy!  I remember him always having a huge smile on his face!  To Lisa, I am truly sorry for the loss of your precious son.  He was a really great kid. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to know him, even if it was when he was just a little boy.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and Matthew.  God Bless.

Lisa I am Iris McKimmy and I had the pleasure of taking care of your son Matthew.When her was your baby angel.At his first experience at Gingerbread Child Care Center.It has been awhile.And I'am so deeply sorry for loss of your angel in heaven.When I seen his photos online it brought back so many memories    of this angel.The same smiling boy as always.From the time he came in and when he would see you.When he was picked up.I remember how much he adored and loved you so much!And always will.Always remember that he is with you.And will be your guardian angel always and forever.I hope this brings you comfort.You and your family will be in my thought's and prayer's always.

I did not know Matthew; but as a mother I cannot help but grieve with you. He seemed like a nice young man. I only pray that God gives you the strength to deal with his passing. May God bless and keep all those who loved him in his prayers.

I didn't know Matthew, but as a mother my heart is heavy for his mother and his family and friends. God be with you all!!

I can't believe someone I've been with since we were babies has gone to the angles already. I was looking forward to getting a picture with him at the John Curtis vs. DLS football game, but no worries, 56 will be on my hand every game this season in his memory. I will always have the wonderful memories of being with someone who was like a brother to me. I remember coming over and playing air hockey but the puck never stayed on the table, and Matt always telling me you had to get the dogs apart because they kept having babies! My mom was even telling me stories of when we were little and how it was always Matthew, Joseph, and me together, and how Matt always treated me so nicely which made Joe jealous. I'm gonna miss that big smile he always had on his face in every picture! And even though Matthew and I didn't hang out much anymore, when I heard the news I felt like I had lost a brother, but now he's flying high and will never be forgotten! "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 The Lord will give you the strength to make it through this. Much love to you and Matthew.

We are so sorry for your loss. Matthew was such a wonderful young man who will truly be missed. Every morning as I dropped my youngest son Nick off at Curtis, I would see Matthew walking to school always with a smile and always had a wave for me. Having the opportunity to Coach Matthew at Harahan Playground in baseball, I cannot begin to express what an impact he made on our lives.  He always had a positive attitude and never once complained about my practices.  I will miss him and I want to thank you for allowing me to coach your son.

My family was blessed the day we met you and your mom at Faith. I gained a best friend and so did Joseph.
