Mary Maxine Bradford Cerise (“Brad”), died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the age of 92. She is pre-deceased by her husband Paul August Cerise, Jr., and survived by her four children, Kathy Cerise Meunier, Donald Paul Cerise, M.D., Ann Elizabeth Cerise, and Susan Marie Cerise, her son-in-law, Gerald Edward Meunier, and daughter-in-law, Linda Guastella Cerise. Beloved grandmother of Justin Paul Meunier, M.D., Jonathan Bradford Cerise, Claire Cerise Meunier, Erin Elizabeth Cerise, and Dominique Frisard . Great-Grandmother of Benjamin Paul Cerise and Audrey Victoria Cerise. “Brad” served in WWII as a 1st Lieutenant Dietician on the USS Mercy in the South Pacific and was hired as the first Dietician on the staff of the Ochsner Clinic. A private mass of Christian burial will be held on August 7, 2013. Special thanks to Hospice and family friends, the “angels of mercy” who cared for her.
