May Rogers Ball, beloved wife of Larry Ball, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at her home in Metairie. She was born May 31, 1941 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Dora Rogers and sister of Gary Rogers and Mary Estelle Rogers McLachlan.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics and journalism from Kansas State University. She married Larry Ball in 1963, and they moved to New Orleans. She worked in a law office in New Orleans as bookkeeper and office manager for more than 20 years, retiring in the early 2000s.
She was the longtime organist, pianist, and choir director for First Presbyterian Church in New Orleans.
May was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her husband Larry, a nephew, Mark McLachlan (Gina) and a niece, Karen McLachlan Barrett (Mike).
