Mrs. Meriam LeBlanc Gutierrez

Meriam LeBlanc Gutierrez, age 86, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Beloved wife of Enrique O. Gutierrez, Sr. for 67 years. Mother of Esther Jane Gutierrez, Enrique O. Gutierrez, Jr., Edward C. Gutierrez (wife, Lin), Elizabeth G. Phillips (husband, Terry) and Elaine G. Meyer (husband, Chris). Daughter of the late Edward S. LeBlanc and Marie Babin LeBlanc. Sister of Mildred Bailey, Delma (Penny) Perque, Emmett C. LeBlanc, Leo S. LeBlanc, Ernest S. LeBlanc and the late Ruby Weber and Edward S. LeBlanc. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gutierrez was a native of Braithwaite, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA for 57 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday evening, June 12, 2011 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gutierrez’s name to the charity of your choice.
