Merlin Charles Ziegler Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was 88 years old. Beloved husband of the late Marie Martin Ziegler. Father of the late Merlin Charles Ziegler Jr. Brother of Henry P. Ziegler Sr. (Theresa) and the late Clarence Ziegler Jr., Martha Ziegler Mortillaro, May Ziegler Gast, Edith Ziegler Maillian. Son of the late Clarence and Carrie Burkhardt Ziegler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Merlin was a native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, and was an automotive mechanic by trade. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from ST. EDWARD THE CONFESSOR, 4921 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, on Monday morning, August 3, 2015 at 10:00.
