

Isaiah 57: 1-2 The righteous perishes, and no one takes it to heart; merciful people are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil. They shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in their uprightness.
Mia Colet Sanchez was born June 16th 2008 in Denver, Colorado, the Lord called her to Heaven at the age of 15 on September 9th 2023. Mia was the best daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was known for having a big heart.
Mia loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a huge animal lover, she owned four dogs and a pet hedgehog. She enjoyed traveling, playing volleyball and making funny tiktoks. Mia adored going out to eat especially when she got to eat her favorite meal Phở. She also enjoyed eating her favorite spicy snacks. Most of all she loved spending time with her mom and dad. Mia’s laugh was contagious and made everyone smile. Anytime she walked into a room, it was filled with joy. Mia was independent and she had a passion for teaching people about the things she liked. The world was a better place with Mia in our lives. Mia was selfless and has donated her long beautiful hair to anyone going through their battles with cancer. She had a positive impact on anyone she ever met, and always rooted for everyone to achieve life’s biggest challenges. Mia was an overachiever and completed every goal she had. Not only was she an overachiever but she was super competitive when participating in her favorite activities just like her parents. Mia was the morning sun to our dark nights.
Mia is survived by her mother Evelyn Sanchez, her father Kenneth Trosclair, her three sisters Angie Sanchez, Lani Trosclair and Alexa Trosclair, her grandparents Joyce and Kenneth Trosclair Sr., Maria Luisa Rivera and numerous family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday evening, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 16, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mia’s honor.
