On Sunday, October 1, 2017, the Lord brought Michael Charles Flesch to eternal rest at the Big Jazz Fest in the Sky. He was the beloved husband of Gayle Luthringshausen Flesch for over 47 years. Loving father of Amy Flesch, Ashley Sarita Flesch, and Amanda Flesch Faust. Grandfather, aka “Grumpy” of Chelsey, Abigayle, Annalyssa, Dylan, Maximus, Taylor, and Benjamin. Son of the late Bartholomew and Sarita Flesch. Cousin of Rhonda Beninate. Michael was a native of New Orleans and grew up in Algiers Point. He graduated from Holy Name of Mary in Algiers and served in the Air National Guard for over 6 years. He was a longtime employee of the Times-Picayune and retired from Owens-Minor after 30 years of dedicated service. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 at 11:00.
