Michael G. Mashburn

Michael G. Mashburn, age 54, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. He is survived by his parents, Louis Mashburn, Jr. (Joy), and Linda M. Eichhorn (Chris), his sister, Marlo Jeansonne (Kris), niece, Haley Jeansonne, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael was a native of Metairie and a long-time resident of the New Orleans area. After graduating from John Curtis High School, he served in the Louisiana Air National Guard. Michael was assigned temporary duty in Turkey to support a no-fly zone in Syria, where he was also a weapons specialist. He was an avid Saints fan and loved going to the beach. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being with family and friends. He will dearly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, with a Prayer Service starting at 1:00 pm.
