Michelle was born August 26, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas to Troy Mixon Sr. and Jeanne Trouard Mixon.
Michelle is survived by the love of her life and husband, Matthew James Perkins whom she married in December of 2006; her daughter, Miley Jewel Perkins; her parents, Troy Mixon Sr. and Jeanne Trouard Mixon; her brother, Troy Mixon Jr. (Jaclyn) and their daughter, Khloe. Also mourning her loss is her stepdaughter, Barbara Kirkland and her two daughters, Rae`Manii and Rae`Lanii; her mother-in-law, Michele DiMaggio and two sisters- in-law, Amanda Williams and Merissa Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marie and Sidney Trouard; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Jewel Mixon and her father-in-law, Paul Dimaggio.
She was a student at St. Clement of Rome and graduated from De La Salle High School. She continued her studies at the University of New Orleans and Holy Cross University. She was in the healthcare industry as a respiratory care coordinator for over 12 years. Michelle loved music, museums, and haunted houses and also loved Scentsy and Younique.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 West Metairie Ave, Metairie, Louisiana 70003, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.
