

away Saturday June 9, 2012. She was born in 1909 in Hernando, MS, and was 2
months short of her 103rd Birthday. Millie had 4 sisters and 1 brother, born to Charles
and Floy Ingram, also of Hernando, MS. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jesse J. Wolfe, of Loanoke, Arkansas, her son Jesse J. Wolfe, Jr., and his wife Courtney Wolfe, both of Gautier, MS. She is survived by her daughter, Millie Wolfe Talbot, and her son-in-law, Alden Peter Talbot, both of Metairie, LA. Millie had 7 grandchildren, Don Talbot and his wife Laura, James Wolfe and his wife Susan, Gwendolyn Keller, Holly Crew, Jeffrey Lee Talbot, Billy Wolfe and his wife Susan, and Ann Davis. She is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great- Great Grandchildren.
Millie was an employee of Sears and Roebuck for many years, a member of St.
Matthew's United Methodist Church, Jerusalem Temple and the Golden Age Club.
Some of her hobbies were making quilts and bedspreads, crocheting afghans including
many for the children at the Shriners Hospital in Memphis, and flower canes for The
Jefferson City Buzzards. She also loved traveling, fishing, and playing Bingo. When
asked about the secret to her long life, she replied "Good health and hard work".
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Colonial Oaks for taking such good care
of Millie for the last years of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. in Metairie, Thursday, June 14th, 2012 at 12:30 pm, with services at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor, Metairie, LA 70003.
