Myra Ann Richard Kihnel

Myra Ann Richard Kihnel passed away at age 63 on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2015. Mrs. Kihnel was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of Charles T. Kihnel for 45 years. Mother of Catherine K. Johnson (husband, Drew), Mary Ann K. Desselles (husband, Joshua), Charles T. Kihnel, Jr. and Christina K. Suarez. Grandmother of Fearria Johnson, Cody Desselles and Curtis Desselles. Loving sister of Bitsy R. Hyer (husband, Floyd), Ann Richard and the late Tommy Richard and Lorraine Richard. Daughter of the late Raymond Joseph Richard and Edith Heart Richard. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kihnel was a graduate of St. Francis of Assisi (Uptown) and Cabrini High School. She was a member of the Horseless Carriage Club and was a parishioner of St. Christopher Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, April 11, 2015 beginning at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 noon in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
