Nellie Ann Keith

Nellie Ann Keith, age 89, a cherished and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully departed this life to enter God's eternal peace on Friday, June 13, 2025. Nellie was born on May 12, 1936 in the Cayman Islands, B.W.I., to Erbin Tibbetts and Veda McLaughlin Tibbetts. She spent her childhood in the Cayman Islands and moved to New Orleans in the 1950's. She met her soon to be husband, Paul Raymond Keith once she settled in the New Orleans area. Nellie had a true heart for her Lord and Savior Jesus and His love shown through everything she did.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, Erbin and Veda Tibbetts; and her siblings, Dave, Braby, Autry, Meliece, and Virginia Tibbetts; and her aunt, Marie Matas.

Left behind to forever cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 64 years, Paul Raymond Keith; her children, Elizabeth Ann Adkins (Erick), William Warren Keith (Michelle), and Miriam Alice Hitch (Stephen); her grandchildren, Corinne Neufang (Trevor), Braden Hitch (Haley), Jacob Keith, and Joshua Keith; and her brother, Darrell Tibbetts.

In honoring Nellie's memory, let us celebrate a life well lived, a woman deeply loved, and a soul now at peace in the embrace of God's eternal grace. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Avondale, LA.
