Nettie K Ray

Nettie Keith Ray, 96, a native of Kenner, LA passed away peacefully, November 30, 2014 at home with family by her side in Las Vegas, NV. Nettie lived a long and wonderful life. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. Nettie was preceded in death by her only child, Donald Reice Moncada, her loving husband William Channing Ray, and her three siblings, Susie K Evans, Ray Keith and Pearl K Hagler. Nettie is survived by two daughter-in laws, Karen Moncada and Alice B Moncada. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Robert Ray Moncada and his children Michael-Dalton Moncada, Allison Ray Moncada and step daughter Julie Brewer; and to her granddaughter Tamara Moncada Lowes, her husband John B Lowes and their son Ryan Channing Lowes. Also survived by Nettie is her loving niece Stephanie L Kelly and her children Lynn and Gerry Laborde. Nettie leaves behind many other loving grandchildren, family and friends. Nettie worked as a beautician in her younger years. She was strong, independent and an inspiration to those around her. She touched many lives. Gramma never lost her will to live and enjoy her family. She always joined in on the festivities. She loved going to restaurants, playing canasta (her favorite card game) and watching her boy Drew Breeze play with the Saints! We will be celebrating Nettie's life on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home at 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie. Visitations are welcome form 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a short service. Burial will commence at noon at The Garden of Memories, at 4900 Airline Highway, Metairie.
