Norman J. Jackson

Born in New Orleans on December 2, 1947, Norman was the son of Joy Daroca and Francis Jackson. He graduated from Redemptorist High School and later attended Southeastern Louisiana University.

Norman devoted his career to serving his community as a member of the New Orleans Fire Department, from which he proudly retired.

For 58 years, Norman shared his life with his beloved wife, Sandra Jackson. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammy Jackson; his sister, Joey Radabaugh; and his son-in-law, Eddie Lirette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy Daroca and Francis Jackson.

Those who knew Norman will remember him for the personality he brought wherever he went. He was truly the life of the party - quick-witted, funny, and always ready to enjoy a good cocktail and the company of family and friends.

Norman loved watching horse racing and football, but he especially loved cheering on his New Orleans Saints. Whether enjoying a race, watching a Saints game, sharing a drink, or making those around him laugh, Norman knew how to enjoy life.

His humor, wit, and unmistakable personality created countless memories for the people who loved him. After 58 years of marriage and a lifetime spent surrounded by family and friends, Norman leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and good times that will not soon be forgotten.

Arrangements are being handled by Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home.
