Ofelia Alicia Hutchinson

She is preceded in death by her loving son, Keith Hutchinson, and sister, Mayda Schneider. She is survived by her loving daughter, Wanda Moscona (Mike), and son, Heath Hutchinson, grandchildren, Daniel Popich (Karen), Joshua Glines (Amber), Crystal Sasso Encardes (Todd), and Sophia Hutchinson, great-grandchildren, Gabriel Cooper, Alynne Popich, Josephine Glines, Julian Glines, and Florence Glines.

Ofelia was born in Havana, Cuba, and moved to New Orleans as a young child. She was a professional Flamenco Dancer, and a visiting instructor in both Cuba and Spain. She performed at Jazz Fest and numerous events around town. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life service for Ofelia will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Catholic Prayer Service in the Leitz-Eagan Chapel.
