Olga Hasbun Ramos

Olga Hasbun Ramos passed away peacefully on March 26, 2017 at the age of 94. She is survived by her children, Ligia Carmona, Jose Ramos (Magdalena Nunes and family), and Olga I. Duran. Grandmother to Cid F. Carmona (Kerry), Carlos Javier Carmona (David Pine), Gabriela Barnetzer (Amir), Jose R. Ramos Jr. (Christina Alvarado), Carina V. Ramos, Valdemar I. Duran (Elizabeth), Sergio Duran (Erica Canas), and the late Salvador A. Duran. Great-grandmother to Xavier Ramos, Alexander Ramos, Xianna Ramos, Felix Ramos, and Gabriel Martinez. Great-great-grandmother to Marlayna Martinez.

She was a native of San Salvador, El Salvador and San Francisco, California; and she was a resident of Kenner, Louisiana for the past 10 years. Olga was very active in the community including being a long-term Salvation Army volunteer, an integral member of the Senior Action Network, and participated in multiple Senior-rights and awareness campaigns in San Francisco. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana 70006 from 9:00am until 11:00am, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
