Ora and her husband were active members of the Metry VFW Post 6640 and spent countless hours volunteering and working with the community. She absolutely loved the VFW Ladies Auxillary, was a life member, and proudly served as State President from 1980 to 1981. She and her husband were also active members of the American Legion. She also volunteered at the New Orleans Veterans Hospital for many years.
Ora never met a stranger, loved to have a good time, and loved Mardi Gras. She didn't back down from a challenge and stayed active. She was very involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives, and she loved, loved them great-great-grandbabies. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Ora was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Gracie Laborde Baudin, her beloved husband Burton P. Bordelon, Sr., brothers Floyd Baudin, Kirby Baudin, Lance Baudin, Ira Baudin, her twin sister, Allie Mae Lacombe, and daughter Lois LeBeouf. She is survived by her son, Burton P. Bordelon, Jr. (Debi), and daughter, Lynn Davis (Terry), nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
