Oscar H. Nadeau, age 93, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 surrounded by family in River Ridge, LA, following a battle with cancer and pneumonia. Mr. Nadeau was born in Biddeford, Maine in 1920 to Oscar and Florina Nadeau. He married Rita McClain in 1947 with whom he reared 3 sons. As a young widower he married a widow, Cecilia (Celie) Casrill. Mr. Nadeau served in the U.S. Army, 103rd Division (New England Division) in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, he worked as a certified public accountant until retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George; sister, Lucy and his first wife. Survived by his sister, Irene as well as his children; Roger (Ruth Ann), Rene (Mary) and Maurice (Darlene); grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrice, Jeffrey, Kyle, Lindsay, Genafer, and Leia; great grandchildren, David, Mackie, Aden, Abbigail, John and Olivia. He is also survived by two step daughters, Cecilia (Jim) and Gayle (Per-Owe); grandchildren, Estrelita, Kim, Kroger and Karl; great grandchildren, Stephen, Brittanie, Brendan, Bradley, Sophie, Bobby, Camilla, Kalli and Rowan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday morning, January 18, 2013 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
