Oscar William Reese

Oscar William Reese passed away December 13, 2021 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Golden Reese, two sons, Kirk W. Reese (Angeline) and Bradly A. Reese. Grandchildren, Rebecca Sanders (Phillip), Kyle Reese, Jake Johnson, and McKenzie Johnson. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Reese (Del Rita) and Alan Reese (Peggy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Reese, Sr. and Josephine Aubert Reese, and his siblings, Marie Russell, Joseph Reese, Zulma Monroe, Yvonne Bader, and Patsy Evans.

Oscar worked for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 40 years and 20 years (part-time, concurrently) at the Winn-Dixie Warehouse. He was very active with Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Oscar was also the recipient of the Order of St. Louis Award and served a brief stint in the U. S. Army, 6th Artillery.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 12PM at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10AM.
