

Born on December 24, 1952, Pamela was the beloved daughter of Donald George McConnell and Agnes Mae Theriot. She was the devoted wife of Charles Murphy Dixon Jr., with whom she shared twenty years of marriage before his passing—a love marked by loyalty, strength, and deep companionship.
Pamela is survived by her son, Chase McConnell Dixon, the pride and center of her life; her brother, Michael George McConnell; her sister, Cynthia Lasiter (Lydon); her nephews Michael George McConnell II, Lance Lasiter (Jessica), and Cody Lasiter; and her niece Amanda Jane Burke (Benton). She is also lovingly remembered by generations of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who held her close in both heart and memory.
A native of New Orleans, Pamela carried the spirit of her hometown with her wherever she went. She spent many years living in Houston, where she built a wide and enduring circle of friendships that felt more like family. Wherever she lived, Pamela had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and deeply cared for.
She was known for her grace, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. A woman of faith and an avid traveler, Pamela lived with curiosity and purpose, embracing the world with an open heart and steady resolve. Her presence brought calm, warmth, and reassurance; her absence leaves an immeasurable space in the lives of those who knew her.
Pamela leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and dignity—a life defined not by noise, but by meaning. Her influence will continue through the countless lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely. She will be remembered with deep affection, profound respect, and enduring gratitude.
Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Reception honoring the life of Pamela McConnell Dixon at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private funeral liturgy, strictly limited to immediate family, will be celebrated at a separate and undisclosed location.
