Patricia "Petunia" Freeman Trosclair Burke

Patricia “Petunia” Trosclair Freeman Burke entered into heaven on January 26th at the age of 70. Born in New Orleans, LA on August 19, 1940 to the late Harry Lynn Trosclair and Theresa Kennedy Trosclair. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Douglas Freeman and Donald Joseph Burke, Sr. Loving mother to Christy Freeman Pigeon and Leonard Sean Freeman. Loving mother-in-law to Kellie Comberrel Freeman and Gary Gussman. Stepmother to Donna, Brenda, Julie, Donald Jr., Tracy, David and Tyler Burke. Loving grandmother to Nicole Leigh Pigeon, Cole Sean Freeman, Kacey Morgan Freeman, Zack Gussman and several step-grandchildren. Beloved sister to Lynn Trosclair Bernard, Janet Trosclair Adams and Debbie Trosclair Belsome. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was a longtime employee of Amoco Petroleum Company and was a graduate of Dominican High School and the University of New Orleans. Petunia enjoyed spending some of her time playing bingo and gambling at the casino but particularly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested donations be sent to Jeff Russell for his continued perseverance at 47 Chateau Du Lac in Kenner, LA 70065.
