Obituary of Paul Dean Martin
IN THE CARE OF

Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home

Paul Dean Martin, 52, passed away November 6, 2022 at his home in New Orleans, Louisiana. Paul was born Jan 7, 1970 in Juneau, Alaska. He received his education in California and Washington State; attended Anaheim High School, graduated from North Kitsap High in Poulsbo, Washington, and attended Fullerton Community College in California. He displayed a quiet personality, yet he was drawn to social, lively environments. He performed in several plays in high school drama, and performed comedy routines from popular comedians of the time. He sang a cappella during his time at church. He traveled independently and favored bustling cities. Throughout his life he resided in several states: Alaska, Montana, Washington State, California, Nevada, Oregon, Florida, Hawaii, and Louisiana. His career was in customer service in the entertainment, hospitality, banking and insurance industries, with near perfect attendance and punctuality. Unique job positions held included Zoo Guide at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Jungle Cruise Tour Guide at Disneyland in Anaheim where he worked for many years, and Blackjack Dealer in Las Vegas. His last position was Hotel Night Auditor at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel on Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter, New Orleans. These vibrant and energetic locals are a testament to his adventurousness and appreciation for merriment.

Paul loved music, movies, sports, and online video games. He enjoyed attending movie showings, large music concerts, the opera, and he owned a wide collection of music. He followed professional football and the NFL Draft each year. He was a former cat owner.

Paul is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Julie Martin, and sister, Linda Martin of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, his sister Sherry Martin and brother David Martin of Washington State, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
