Paulette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 29, 1947, to the late Lee Ignatius Gros, Sr. and Lucille Agnes Salome Gros. She was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans.
Paulette was a devoted employee and worked as a Custodian at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Kenner, Louisiana, for 24 years. She also worked in Food Service at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana, for eight years. While her children attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Paulette was an active member of the OLPH Mother’s Club and proudly served several times as its President. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Jamie Pitre Shorkey and her husband, Raymond, and Mark Pitre and his wife, Charlene; her grandchildren, Amber and Heather Pitre; her sister, Sandra Baker; and her brother, Lee Gros, Jr.
