Peppy and I made a ton of great memories in the time we spent together in the NOLA area. He was truly talented and will be greatly missed. Cinnamon Girl was always one my fave songs he sang. Of course there are many that will continue to remind me of him forever. I send my condolences to all family and friends, and am so sorry I am not able to travel to say my fare well in person. He will always have a place in my heart.

Peppy was one of my best friends, a partner in construction and carpentry, and one of the most talented musicians I have ever played with. I am very honored that I was able to record two albums with him. And to this day, he is still on the top of the list of the best drummers in the south.
He will never be forgotten.

I'll always remember being a little girl and walking down the street to hear the band in the garage at the Ruiz house. A bunch of long hair kids Jammin and rocking out. All us little girls love to follow them around and watch them practice. What a great group of guys they were. The good ole days. RIP dude.
