Mr. Ralph J. Bertheaud

Ralph J. Bertheaud, 95, departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Beloved husband of Mae Buras McKinney Bertheaud, family of Linda Bouis, Cindy Lemoine, Terry Saucier, and numerous cousins, extended family; Sandra K. Milholland, Daryl McKinney, Dari Lynn McKinney, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Bertheaud served in the assault phase of the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944 aboard a U.S. Navy warship during World War II. Special thanks to Ralph’s caregivers, Elizabeth, Blanca, Benita, Olivia, Starlia, and Serenity Hospice. Family and friends, including friends of Christ the King Church in Gretna, United Methodist Church in Terrytown, and the Landing at Behrman Place, are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Friday afternoon, October 10, 2014 at 2:00. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Inurnment will follow at a later date in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, Masses in his memory are preferred.
