Ralph will be greatly missed, he always had that father figure way around the station. You knew if you ever had a problem or if you just needed  someone to listen to your trouble he was always thier. Sitting on the front of the fire truck giving you his firehouse wisdom.  I will really miss you.

I just wanted to say to the whole Hardy Family you are all in my prayers.It's never easy to lose a parent I know that pain all to well.I do know my dad is with me everyday and like I told him when he was passing..."this is not goodbye,its I'll see you later"!Try to remember that and know he is forever in your hear.

I will forever be grateful for the support Mr Hardy gave me during one of the most challenging times of my life during my Senior year in High School.  To the Hardy family, I pray God continues to give you strength during this difficult time.  RIP Mr. Hardy.

You were always the life of our family gatherings. You knew how to make everyone laugh even when they didnt want too. You were always the one to step up in difficult times and do what needed to be done. You was such a kind hearted caring person. All the little kids loved you and you never minded holding or playing with any of them. And then you have your own grandkids and a light in your eyes came on that was brighter than ever. You would move Heaven and Earth to make your kids and grandkids happy. You loved them more than life itself.  We are all hurting that God called you home early, your pain has ended but ours has only just begun. You are a great person and I am glad I got to call you Family!

To the entire Hardy family, our prayers and thoughts will continue to be with you all.  We have so many memories of Mann and the wonderful and loving person he was.  He will be missed greatly.

I could not believe when I heard Ralph was so sick.  Since I am not in Louisiana right now I have relied on facebook for all updates and I do appreciate all who kept me in the loop.  Ralph was in love with his family and I know how much he will be missed by them.  He was taken from you too young, but God has him now and he will remain with you in his new spirit form of life.  I pray that the Holy Spirit keep you close during your time of grief and mourning.  I love you all and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow..this is an entry I never wanted to write. Mann was my friend for 40 years. He lived across the street in the 70's and we stayed friends long after the Hardy's moved away.They were,and still are,a family that has alot of heart,and if you are their friend,they will always have you back.That is exactly Mann. I have many cherished moments of him growing up.He loved his family more than anything in the world. He had a passion for being a firefighter and retired as Capt.Ralph Hardy.He loved Elvis and anyting oldies. Always ready to help someone out is what made him the person and the firefighter he was.I will always miss my friend. Big Man, was one of the kindest, most generous, warm hearted and witty people we have ever known. If he did not get you with the Hot Coffee Spoon on the back of your neck when you least you expected it, he was scheming to get you with another practical joke! Ralph instilled contagious laughter amongst everyone around him. God gives out only the most very "special hearts" to the most brave, loving & genuine men. It takes an especially brave and loving man to run into a burning building to save the lives of many he never knew when most others are running away. God gave this loving "special brave heart" to Big Man and he the best of the best a very special loving brave and witty man. Big Ralph will always will be a Hero and the Wind Beneath Our Wings! Our hearts go out to the entire Hardy Family. We pray that God's love comfort you and somehow in someway, ease your pain and suffering for the loss of your Father. We lost a Mighty Angel and heaven has gained a Mighty Warrior as he watches over us all from the Big Firehouse in the Sky! We love you always...God Bless!
