Raúl Giovanny Carbajal - “El Príncipe” aka “El Chacal” … born October 1, 1964 passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday July 15, 2025 at 8:40 am and pronounced at 9:51 am at Ochsner Main Campus. He was a local on air personality for over 25 years, on air personality on Tropical 105.7 and Host of his Sports Program “Mundo Deportivo” as well as Sports Commentator on Telemundo 42 Local News and most recently proud Owner of La Calle 97.9. While he enjoyed all Sports, fishing was his passion. He was an advocate for all businesses small and large. Geovanni was born in Honduras and a Louisiana resident for over 50 years and a proud US Citizen. Avid Sportsman and Soccer Player who played against the Select Team of Japan.

He was the loving son of Rita Carbajal and the late Raul Aníbal Carbajal. Caring brother to Rita (Iván), Glenys (José), Marlon and Freddy (Doris). Amazing father of four daughters Raquel, Johana (Drue), Tatiana, Rita, multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews, numerous friends and Devoted Life Partner of Amanda Sifuentes de Carbajal … while Giovanny loved his profession and the USA he was looking forward to retirement and spending it in his cherished Country of Honduras.

Family and friends are invited to attend Geovanni's visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Iglesia Gracia y Restauración, 3000 Williams Blvd. Kenner, LA 70065. Followed by a funeral service at 7 pm. Family also invites you share memories and condolences. Service entrusted to Leitz Eagan Funeral Home.
