Rene Mauricio Emestica Rajo, 57 born on May 21, 1967 in San Salvador, El Salvador peacefully departed our World with his loving family at his bedside on September 6, 2024. A lifelong resident of Kenner, Louisiana where Rene made many lifelong friends when he emigrated to The US as an 11 year old child while he attended Bonnabel High School and Rummel High School. Starting out as a banquet server in wedding receptions then he embraced his career as a Server throughout Kenner and as an MC for a dive show that entertained many. Rene enjoyed bowling for an amateur bowling league as well as in a Dart throwing league. As an amateur Bass Guitar Player he also enjoyed going to Rock & Roll concerts throughout the years seeing many popular bands. In every which way, you could see him cheering his beloved New Orleans Saints on game day, along with LSU Tiger games. Rene now has a front row seat during such games in Heaven.
Rene was preceeded by the passing of his Father, Salvador Emestica, his Mother, Vilma Barrera-Rajo, his Uncle Armando Rajo, and Cousin Milton Rajo. He is survived by his sons Nicolas & Zacary Emestica; the mother of his children Amanda Estes; his sibblings Jose Barrera Sr.(Ivette) & Ana Barrera (Kwabena); & his adopted brother John Laux. The Laux Family, John, Wade, Billy, Pam, & Ms, Anna Laux are very dear to Rene & our family is forever grateful for their support and friendship for over 40 years with Rene. We also thank Ada & Reynaldo Quiroz for providing Love and comfort to Rene.
Rene before his passing requested in lieu of flowers to please find your restaurant server & to always treat them with kindness and to tip them something a little extra in his memory. He also requested to donate to your city's food bank for he loved to cook and feed friends and family.
