Rene Anthony Thezan

René Anthony Thezan lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 14, 2012 at the age of 71. He was the son of the late Verna and Edward Thezan. Beloved husband of Gwen K. Thezan for the past 49 years. Father of Reneé Brauner (James), David Thezan (Dee Dee) and Cindy Prange (Lee). Grandfather of Jennifer and Kevin Vogt; Allison and Matthew Brauner; Brianne, Kacie and Kyle Thezan and Tyler, Austin and Katie Prange. He is also survived by a sister, Eloise Fuzette; a brother-in-law, Wally Kenney (Connie); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

René was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. He enjoyed bowling and listening to the “oldies” but cherished his family above all else and was happiest when they were around him. He was a loving and caring person who made everyone around him smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
