Reneé Mendez Brennan

Beloved wife of the late John Joseph Brennan, having shared 63 years of sacred marriage.

Loving mother of Mary Anne Reeser (Michael), Maureen Brennan (Steve Abels), Bernadine LeBlanc (Patrick), Michael Brennan, Christine Daigle (Frank), Virginia Vasterling (Ellis) and John Brennan Jr. (Dennise).

Daughter of the late Bernalda Carrillo and John Mendez.

Sister of Irma Mendez Lind and Eduardo Mendez and the late Albert Mendez.

Also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Brennan was a homemaker. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1954, a member of St. Christopher’s Rosary Makers, Circle of Friends, and the Holy Name Society. She was actively involved in St. Christopher School for 22 years and will always be loved and remembered as a devoted wife and mother.

Aged 92 years, native of Belize City, Belize, and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 59 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church, 309 Manson Ave. Metairie, on Saturday afternoon June 8, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery #1.

In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or memorial donations may be made to St. Christopher’s Rosary Makers or the Circle of Friends, 309 Manson Ave. Metairie, Louisiana 70001.
