Richard "Poozy" Barnes gained his wings on December 6th, 2021. Anyone that knew him, truly knew love. His laugh was contagious and his smile could light up a room. He lived to ride bikes, tinker with anything with a motor, love all animals, spend time with his kids, and spoil his grand baby. He leaves behind his first and last love Tammy Hebert, his son, his brute, Austin (Amanda); his daughter, his heart, Charlee (Cody); his granddaughter, his monster, Kelleigh Renee; his parents Richard and Carolyn Barnes; his sister Barbara Barnes, and multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends that he loved dearly. A celebration of life service will be held at Leitz-Eagan at 4747 Vetarans Blvd. Metairie, LA 70006, December 27th, 2021. Visitation is from 9am - 11am followed by a prayer service from 11am -12pm. In remembrance of Poozy and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Bridge House / Grace House of New Orleans to help more people in need.
