

Beloved son of the late Sylvester and Mabel Dapp.
Brother of Charles Dapp.
Uncle of Wilfred “Sammy” Abshire and Mary Aline Sweet.
Also survived by other nieces. nephews, relatives and friends.
Richard was a United States Army WWII Veteran where he was an Airplane Engineer, a retired Machinest from American Cyanamid after 30 years of service, a lifetime member of American Veterans Post # 49, a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, was passionate about Cajun food and heritage and enjoyed hunting and cooking at his camp in Manchac, La.
While holding his fishing rod, he loved to smoke his pipe, he adored his pets and raised many throughout the years, enjoyed long rides throughout the streets of the lovely Louisiana plantations and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to his niece, Juanita Landry, his nephew Michael Guillory and Richard and Maria Leonard for the dedicated love and care that they provided.
A native of Monroeville, New Jersey and a resident of River Ridge, Louisiana for the past 54 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Monday February 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery in St. Rose, Louisiana.
