Rickey Darryl Parr

Beloved son of the late Joyce Credo Parr and Arthur Richard Parr. He was the husband of Patricia Schuler Parr, father of Jay Darryl Parr (Michelle), Taylor Parr Hannan (Scott), and Matthew Richard Parr, and brother of Darren Jay Parr (Kathy) and the late Arthur George Parr. He is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Laurie Galloway Parr. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Shawn Michael Parr, Jade Sierra Parr, Jack Arthur Hannan, and Breanne Paige Schuler, as well as the families of Karla Jean Parr, Krystal Parr Williams, and Darren Jay Parr, II.

Rickey served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He was the owner of Auto Tune for 33 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Metairie Lodge 444 F & AM, member of Louisiana Lodge 102, Potentate in 2003 of the Jerusalem Shriners, member of the Jerusalem Clown Unit, member of The Order of Quetzalcoatl, past president of the Farhad Grotto Dune Buggy Unit, member of the Jerusalem Dune Buggy Unit, past member of Royal Order of Jesters, and a member of Knights Templar with York Rite Masons.

Relatives, friends, fellow Masons, and Shriners are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 2PM with a funeral Mass to begin at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rickey’s name to Shriners Hospital for Children.
