Mr. Robert "Bob" Loney Stierwald

Robert “Bob” Loney Stierwald went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Helen R. deBrueys Stierwald. Beloved father to Richard David Stierwald and Barbara Stierwald Morlier. Father-in-law to Sharon B. Stierwald and Stewart E. Morlier, III. Proud grandfather to Robert L. Stierwald, Julie S. Meyer, Tracie A. Stierwald and Stewart E. Morlier, IV. Proud great grandfather to Helen M. Morlier, Stewart E. Morlier, V, Robert L. Stierwald, Jr., Elizabeth L. Stierwald, Izador O. Meyer and Abel E. Meyer. Preceded in death by his parents Georgiana Lovie Pearce Stierwald and Louis Stierwald. Bob is the last of 9 children. He was a retired Superintendent for the City of New Orleans, a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the Masons for 50+ years and a carpenter for Higgins Boats during WWII. Bob was a longtime member of Lakeview Presbyterian and Gentilly Presbyterian Churches. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, La on Wednesday evening, August 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday morning, August 11, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
