Robert "Bobby" J. Dauterive, age 85 of Kenner, LA, entered into heavenly peace on Monday, April 27, 2026. Husband of the late Marvelle Lawler Dauterive. Son of the late Lewis Joseph Dauterive and Hilda Prattini Dauterive. Beloved father of the late Robert Joseph Dauterive, Jr. Brother of the late LeRoy "Lee" Decomine Dauterive. Grandfather of Veronica Lawler (Adam) and Zachary Lawler (Courtney). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bobby worked for the City of Kenner for 16 years, the Treasure Chest Casino for 5 years, Caterpillar Forklift Division for 9 years, Western Electric for 18 years, and Genuine Parts for 5 years. Bobby will be remembered and missed for his kindness and generous heart and selfless giving nature.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
