Mr. Robert E. McCahill

Robert E. McCahill, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at his residence. Mr. McCahill was a native of Wadesboro, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Beloved husband of Frances Taylor McCahill for 54 years. Father of Terry L. McCahill (wife, Marian) and Mark D. McCahill (wife, Cheryl). Grandfather of Courtney T. McCahill, Catherine E. McCahill, Ashley Royerre and Christopher Hakenjos, Jr. Brother of Judith J. Aucoin and the late Margaret M. Barber. Son of the late Lee McCahill and Lois Blue McCahill Jackson. Stepson of the late John Conyus Jackson. Mr. McCahill was a retired accountant for Shell Oil Company. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of St. John Golf Club and Memorial Baptist Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel. Interment will be private at Greenoaks Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121.
