Robert "Bobby" R Wedig Jr.

He is survived by his friend and former wife, Christine S. Wedig; two daughters, Jessica Ragas Harrell (Patrick) and Tobi Wedig Ballentine (Mathew); and six grandchildren: Peyton Harrell, Elliana Harrell, Owen Ballentine, Gavin Ballentine, Colin Ballentine, and Amelie Ballentine. He is also survived by his siblings, Danny Wedig, Keith Wedig (Carol), Ricky Wedig (Cindy), and Patricia Wedig Glass (Ronnie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Wedig, Sr. and Audrey Fossier Wedig.

Bobby was a passionate athlete who spent his childhood on the ball fields of Carrollton playground, where he formed many lifelong friendships and where he first uttered the words, “Yeah you right!” and “Get up in there!” He later became an avid golfer and cherished his weekends at Audubon Golf Club with his golfing pals.

A visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, LA, on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. A private burial with family will take place at a later date.
