Roger Anthony Champagne passed away peacefully at his residence in Harahan on Friday, September 7, 2018. At 52 years old, he was dedicated to his Christian Faith, family, and career. Loving eldest son of Judith Quintini Champagne and Douglas Champagne Sr. Brother of Christine Champagne, Douglas Champagne Jr. (Jenn), Derek Champagne (Alexis), Andrea Robertson (Eddy), and Keith Champagne (Stacey). Roger will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and co-workers. A lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish, he graduated from John Curtis in 1984. He attended McNeese State on a full Baseball scholarship and received a degree in Fine Arts. Roger began his lifelong career with Laitram Corporation in 1994 and was currently serving as Chief Information Officer. He was revered by his co-workers for his mentorship and problem- solving qualities. Roger was an avid golfer and hunter, and spent the past few years engaging in the art of Kung Fu. He was an actively serving member on the board of directors at Kenner Discovery Health and Science Academy as well a devoted member of the Healing Hearts for Community Development. Roger will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family, as well as employees of Laitram Corporation, are invited to attend the Memorial Service at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday morning, September 15, 2018 at 11:00.
