

Ronald Joseph Risey, age 82, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 17, 2026. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Tedesco Risey, his parents, Alfred John Risey, Sr. and Fredricker Krieger Risey, brothers, Leonard Joseph Risey and Alfred John Risey, Jr, and sister-in-law, Gina Tedesco Pieri. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Risey Davis, son-in-law, Scott Davis, and grandchildren, Sarah and Peter Davis. He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Dennis and Alfreda Risey, brother, Andrew Risey (Loriana), sister-in-law, Lucille Risey, mother-in-law, Virginia Chifici Tedesco, sister-in-law, Lisa Fullmer (Roger), and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald graduated from F.T. Nicholls High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He later worked for over 20 years for K&B Drug Stores/Rite-Aid Drug Stores until his retirement. Following his retirement, and in recognition of his passion for WWII, he volunteered at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA for multiple years. He was a devoted brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his home and his neighbors and was loved by his family and friends for his gentle nature and kind disposition.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. You will be forever in our thoughts and prayers until we meet again in our heavenly home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rest in Peace.
