Rose Dalmado Hauck of Metairie, Louisiana passed away peacefully on February 25, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born on September 19, 1924, Rose was the beloved daughter of Isidore Dalmado and Rose Cuber, the beloved wife of the late Henry F. Hauck, Sr. and the loving mother of three sons: Dr. Henry (Hank) F. Hauck, Jr. (Tia), Terry I. Hauck (Linda) and Michael H. Hauck (Julie). Rose was the beloved grandmother of Rachel H. Dufrene (Ricky), Amanda H. Joerger (Mike), Christopher H. Hauck (Jean) and Bradley M. Hauck, the beloved great grandmother of Dylan Michael Joerger, Raelynn Rose Dufrene, Skylar Lynn Joerger, Dakota, Corbin and Mae Clark and cherished sister of the late Elvera D. Mabry and the late Miriam D. Clancey.
Rose attended John McDonough High School in New Orleans and was employed by the Selective Service System until she resigned to be a full time mother. She lived in the New Orleans area her whole life, moving from Deers Street to Lake Vista Drive in Metairie in 1972. She spent the majority of her life caring for her family. She loved to cook for her family and she loved New Orleans and everything it had to offer, especially Mardi Gras parades and the New Orleans Saints. Rose was a strong, compassionate, loving and caring person who was very loved by all she touched. She will be greatly missed by her family, especially during the many traditional holiday gatherings she always eagerly anticipated. The family would like to thank Ms. Ethel Bowens and the staff of Egan Healthcare Services for the support, care and effort on Rose’s behalf. Ethel, you are an angel.
